Cliff Hutt is a Fisheries Management Specialist with NOAA Fisheries Office of Sustainable Fisheries in the Atlantic Highly Migratory Species Division with 15 plus years of experience in fisheries management and research. Previously, he was a contracting research associate working in support of NOAA Fisheries Office of Science and Technology in the Economics and Social Analysis Division.
Cliff specializes in fisheries management with a particular interest the social and economics aspects of resource use and their implications for natural resource policy. Cliff first came to NOAA Fisheries as a 2013 John D. Knauss Sea Grant Marine Policy Fellow. Cliff received his Ph.D. in Wildlife, Fisheries, and Aquaculture from Mississippi State University, his master’s in Biology from Tennessee Tech, and his Bachelor’s in Fisheries Science from Virginia Tech.
