She focuses on protecting and restoring waterways and habitats in and around national parks. More


Clifford Hutt

Cliff Hutt is a Fisheries Management Specialist with NOAA Fisheries Office of Sustainable Fisheries in the Atlantic Highly Migratory Species Division with 15 plus years of experience in fisheries management and research.  Previously, he was a contracting research associate working in support of NOAA Fisheries Office of Science and Technology in the Economics and Social Analysis Division.  More



Victoria Bell

Victoria Bell is an Associate I with the Lenfest Ocean Program. In this position, she works across the Lenfest Ocean Program and Communication department to design and implement a creative digital strategy to broaden the Program's audiences and increase stakeholder awareness of program-supported projects. More


Lindsey Kratz

Lindsey has an interdisciplinary background with experience in science and policy, having worked in academia and both the executive and legislative branches of federal government. Lindsey currently serves as the Fisheries Program Coordination Officer for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). More



Supriti Jaya Ghosh

Supriti Jaya Ghosh is the Communications Manager at the Transportation Institute, a maritime trade association representing U.S.-flagged shipping companies. She develops communications strategies that advocate for a strong U.S. maritime industry and conducts Congressional outreach to educate on the industry's role in our nation's economy and security. More

Katy is a Research Manager at the Water Environment & Reuse Foundation (WE&RF). WE&RF is a non-profit that conducts research to treat and recover beneficial materials from wastewater, stormwater, and seawater including water, nutrients, energy, and biosolids. More

Anna–Marie Laura is the Senior Manager of Policy Engagement at Rare, an international conservation organization that empowers local communities to become stewards of their natural resources so that both people and nature thrive. She previously worked as Ocean and Coastal Policy Advisor for Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI). More



Cassandra Lopez

Janelle Mueller

During Ms. Mueller’s 10+ years of fisheries science experience, she has worked as a field and lab biologist in the Alaska Sockeye Salmon fishery and led a team through data management and significant policy changes for the Chesapeake Bay Striped Bass fishery. Janelle also worked on small-scale fisheries management with Rare, Inc. in Indonesia, The Philippines and Brazil and more recently supported project management and data analysis for NOAA. More


Jessie Ritter

Jessie Ritter is the Senior Policy Specialist for Gulf Restoration at the National Wildlife Federation, where she leads the federal policy work for NWF campaigns to protect and restore the Gulf of Mexico coastal area, increasing its resiliency in the face of storms, floods, sea level rise, oil spills, and other threats to wildlife and coastal communities. More


Dana Rollison

Dana Rollison is an associate with the Lenfest Ocean Program, a grant making program managed by the Pew Charitable Trusts that funds scientific research on policy-relevant topics concerning the world’s oceans and communicates the results of the supported research to decision makers and other interested audiences. More

Kelsey is a Conservation Policy and Programming Specialist at Environmental Incentives, where she builds clients' capacity to use adaptive management and learning to enhance the effectiveness of their biodiversity programming. More


Kristina Surfus

Kristina is Director, Legislative Affairs for the National Association of Clean Water Agencies, a trade association representing publicly-owned wastewater and stormwater treatment agencies. The focus of her work is to support federal policies that advance clean water, are rooted in sound science and leverage public dollars for the greatest environmental and public health outcomes. More


Lisa Wu

Lisa Lyle Wu currently teaches marine biology and is the lab director for the oceanography/geophysical systems lab at the Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology in Alexandria, VA (a STEM magnet and Governor’s School).  She has developed curricular materials for Discovery Channel, Washington Post NIE, PBS News Hour, videos for FCPS and initiated Virginia’s marine biology curricula. More


Shannon Yee

Shannon joined the National Marine Sanctuary Foundation in 2013 and serves as its Policy and Conservation Director. At NMSF, she coordinates Capitol Hill Ocean Week, the premier ocean policy conference in DC; manages government relations and advocacy efforts to both the legislative and executive branches; engages local community leaders in promoting and strengthening national marine sanctuaries; and oversees the foundation’s field-based conservation and research projects across the nation. More
