What does water mean to you? Show us!
Water is important in every facet of life. And for all of us here at WAN, it is the is the crux of the work we do and the things we enjoy most. From fisheries to coastal management, from scuba diving to picnics along the Potomac. Where would we be without clean water? Join us in celebrating the value of all our water resources by participating in the WAN Photo Contest.
Over the next month, join us in celebrating the value of water (rivers, lakes, oceans, drinking water, sparkling water, rain, etc.) by posting a photo of what water means to you on the WAN Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram page using the hashtag #WANPhotoContest!
Photo Contest Guidelines
Participating in the WAN Photo Contest is easy! Simply:
Post a water photo to social media (Facebook / Twitter).
Include a few words on what water means to you.
Use the hashtag #WANPhotoContest
Deadline to submit: Monday, November 5th COB.
Any and all photos related to water count! Perhaps this is photo of your favorite river, lake, or ocean. Or a photo of your work in water. There is no limit on the number of submissions you can make. The WAN Executive Board will select 3 photo contest winners in the categories below. Submissions do not need to specify a category, though you are welcome to if you like. Each winner will receive a small prize at the Value of Water Happy Hour on Wednesday, November 7th, hosted by WAN and the US Water Alliance.
The importance or value of women in water (working in water, our connections to water).
Cross-sector collaboration in water.
Appreciation of the natural beauty of water.
