Kari has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Environmental Science from The College of William & Mary. She also holds a Master of Science degree in Environment and Sustainability Management from Georgetown University. Professionally, she worked as the Sustainability Manager for Aramark Collegiate Hospitality at Georgetown University. She was the chair of the Sustainable Practices Committee for Aramark at Georgetown University.
