This year, we are thrilled to kick off a new series of mentoring events that is solely for our WAN members. This new series is called "Dinner with a Champion" and our inaugural event will be one of many dinners with some of the top professional women in the environmental field.

Join us for an exciting mentor "Dinner with a Champion", Ms. Lois Schiffer, on May 29th. 

Lois is an environmental lawyer with extensive experience in natural resources and pollution protection laws through her work in federal jobs, in private practice, and for non-profit organizations. She has served as General Counsel at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (2010-2017), and as the Assistant Attorney General for the Environment and Natural Resources Division at the Department of Justice (1993-2001). Other career highlights include serving as General Counsel to National Public Radio and the National Capital Planning Commission, in addition to 30 years as an adjunct professor at the Georgetown University Law Center.
