Hidden Rivers

A Film Screening

November 13, 2019

6:00 – 9:00 PM

Hidden Rivers is Freshwaters Illustrated’s newest feature film that explores the rivers and streams of the Southern Appalachian region, North America’s most biologically rich waters. The film follows the work of conservation biologists and explorers throughout the region, and reveals both the beauty and vulnerability of these ecosystems. The Hidden Rivers screening coincides with Imagine a Day Without Water, a national awareness campaign that seeks to create an understanding and appreciation for water resources.

The film will be screened in the Eaton Cinema, the hotel’s intimate 56-person theater. Jeremy Monroe, Founder and Director of Freshwaters Illustrated, will present the hour-long film and engage in an audience Q&A on the making of the film. He will also participate on a panel with Dean Naujoks (Riverkeeper for the Potomac Riverkeeper Network) and Trey Sherard (Outreach Coordinator for the Anacostia Riverkeeper) to discuss the DC area’s freshwater conservation efforts.
