Confidence with Congress: Advocacy 101

Join Sustainable Ocean Alliance DMV for a virtual Confidence with Congress: Advocacy 101 training! If you are new to the Hill or need a refresher on congressional visits, this training is for you! We will present an overview on how to conduct legislative research, teach you how to schedule meetings with congressional members, and empower you to be an ocean champion during your visit! We will conclude with an expert panel featuring seasoned Hill advocates from EarthEcho International, BlueGreen Generation, and the American Geophysical Union who will share practical tips from their experiences.

This training is the first of a two-part series that will conclude with a "Workshop Your Ask" training in May. The target audience for the May training will be for attendees planning to engage with Congress during Capitol Hill Ocean Week.
