Join the Women's Aquatic Network and WAN member & shark scientist David Shiffman, the author of Why Sharks Matter for a shark tooth fossil hunting event at Purse State Park, MD, which is a ~1 hr and 15 min drive from Washington D.C. We can help you find a ride if needed!

We will meet at the parking lot and walk down to the beach promptly at 10am. The walk from the parking lot to the beach is about 0.4 miles (10-15 minute walk).

Please bring comfortable clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting wet, as well as any snacks/drinks you may want with you.

We will provide some sifting tools.
